Silver Jubilee Award for Outstanding Publication in Head & Neck Oncology

Eligibility

Publication : The publication must be published or accepted in a peer-reviewed indexed journal between 1^st January 2020 – 30^th September 2025.

Presentation Rules

1. Eligible Presenters

1. The presenter must be one of the listed authors of the article.
2. An outsider (non-author) cannot be nominated to present under any circumstance.
3. The first author or corresponding author must be based in India at the time of publication.
4. The study must have been conducted primarily in India (data collection, trial site, or research center).
5. Multicentric international studies are eligible only if the Indian arm contributed substantial data and is clearly acknowledged.

2. Consent Requirement

1. The presenting author must provide a signed consent letter from the other authors stating.
2. They agree to this author presenting on behalf of the team.
3. There is no conflict of interest in the designated author presenting.

3. Multiple Entries

1. A single person may submit or present multiple different publications (if they are an author on them).

4. One Article – One Presenter Rule

1. The same article cannot be presented by multiple authors.
2. Only one author per article will be permitted to present at FHNO 2025.

5. Registration

1. The presenting author must be a Registered Delegate of FHNO 2025.

6. Additional Eligibility

1. Only original research articles are eligible (basic science, translational, clinical, epidemiology, or outcomes research, meta-analysis).
   Reviews, editorials, case reports, letters, and conference abstracts are not eligible.
2. Ahead of print” or “E-pub online first” versions are acceptable with DOI.

Evaluation Process

1. Initial Screening: Submissions will be verified for eligibility by the Scientific Committee.
2. Peer Review: Articles will be reviewed independently by 2–3 experts using a standardized scoring form (25 points scale: novelty, methodology, impact, relevance to India, and clarity).
3. Shortlisting: Top-scoring manuscripts will be invited for presentation at FHNO 2025.
4. Final Presentation Round: Presenters will be evaluated by a jury on clarity, scientific content, and response to discussion.
5. Winner Selection: The combined score from manuscript review and presentation will decide the awardee and announced during valedictory function at FHNO 2025.

Author Disputes

1. In the event that any co-author raises a written objection or concern regarding the designated presenting author, the article will be immediately withdrawn from the review process and from presentation at FHNO 2025.
